Polly Ralda

From Guatemala to Praia do Norte

Their story

Polly Ralda didn't start surfing until she was 15, in Guatemala. Today she's based on Hawaii's North Shore and is a regular in the line-up at Waimea Bay. She has been invited to Red Bull Queen of the Bay and named on the list for the Eddie Aikau invitational.

With Californian surfer Delia Bense-Kang she co-founded Big Wave Babes, a week-long camp on the North Shore that teaches women how to train for big waves, taught by women.

At Nazaré she's one of three women in Tim Bonython's documentary, and she was one of only five women picked for the Big Wave Grand Prix there.
