Nazaré Big Wave Challenge, women's
Justine Dupont, born in Bordeaux, is the most successful woman in the history of the Nazaré contest. She won the women's award at the first WSL tow event at Praia do Norte in February 2020, kept it in December 2021, then won again in February and December 2025. That's four titles.
The February 2025 win was her first contest back after her son was born in January 2024. She said afterwards that being a mother had changed her fear: she worried more about whether her baby was eating and sleeping than about the waves.
She splits her life between south-west France and Nazaré, and she's one of the main faces of the HBO series 100 Foot Wave.
Her wave on 11 Feb 2020, the day she won the first WSL tow contest.
One email when giant waves (10 m+) show up in the models, usually 5 to 7 days ahead.
