Tow champion with Chianca, 2020 and 2021
Kai Lenny from Maui is a waterman in the full sense, at home on a big wave board, a stand-up paddleboard or a foil. At Nazaré he made his mark at the very first WSL tow contest, on 11 February 2020. He and Lucas Chianca won the team title, and Lenny also took the Men's Wave of the Day award. A wave he rode that day later won the men's XXL Biggest Wave award at the 2020 Red Bull Big Wave Awards.
The pair came back and won the team title again in December 2021.
His XXL Biggest Wave winner, 11 Feb 2020.
